WILL SIDEGUARD SPS HELP PROTECT AGAINST CAR DOOR DENTS AND DINGS-
Yes. It covers the side doors and a small area towards the rear wheel arch with no gaps. It protrudes about 6-7cm overall, to help prevent another door striking above or below it.
WILL IT LEAVE MARKS ON THE DOOR FACE-
No, because it is secured with Straps in the gaps of the doors. There are NO magnets or suction cups which attach to the door face, which may leave marks if dust or fine grit is present.
WILL IT FIT MY CAR-
It should fit most modern cars, just make sure the gap between the front wing and the closed front door is between 3mm & 4mm, and open with no obstructions. See Find My Fit.

The Straps are very flexible, they squash, bend and rotate to fit the door.
Get a Door Edge Thickness Gauge from our Store, to easily measure your door edge for the correct strap.

SIDEGUARD SPS is unsuitable for Sliding or Gullwing Doors.
WIDE WHEEL ARCHES-
SIDEGUARD SPS is fairly rigid and fits reasonably close to the car, so will not bend to fit the contour of very wide rear wheel arches.
Arches that extend up to about 60mm away from the car, such as the Aston Martin DB9/DB11, Jaguar XK etc. are perfectly OK, but some Porsche 911 models for example, can be very wide.
In this case, please choose a SIDEGUARD Small, it will then fit perfectly but will not cover quite as much of the rear wheel arch as the SIDEGUARD Large. In most cases this will still be quite adequate.

WILL IT WORK ON STEEL, ALUMINIUM AND COMPOSITE DOORS-
Yes. It is held in place by polymer Straps which trap in the gaps on each side of the door. Because it does not rely on magnets or suction cups, it works on steel, aluminium and composite doors.
DO I HAVE TO USE 'FIND MY FIT'-
'Find My Fit' is easier once you have the Door Edge Thickness Gauge. However, you can email us a good photo of your door edge instead, along with a few details and we can advise you what you need. Send photo instead.
IS IT EASY TO FIT-
Yes, once removed from the storage bag, it can be fitted in 10 to 20 seconds. See Video.
HOW MUCH SPACE WILL I NEED AT THE SIDE OF MY CAR-
Usually, you will need about 45cm-55cm between your car and any neighboring car, to allow you to open your doors wide enough to fit or remove SIDEGUARD SPS.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY CAR-
If the door edge profile is different, alternative Straps can be purchased and easily fitted. See fitting Video.
CAN I DRIVE WITH IT ON-
NO. It is only for use when the car is parked in a car park, driveway or similar, and not on the public highway. Always ensure you remove SIDEGUARD SPS before driving.
WILL IT COVER BOTH SIDES OF THE CAR-
One SIDEGUARD SPS covers one side of the car, so two would be required for both sides. Quite often only one is required, as car parks often have an 'end space' available or barrier that you can park against to protect the other side.
IF I ONLY HAVE ONE, WILL IT FIT THE NEARSIDE OR OFFSIDE-
SIDEGUARD SPS is universal, the straps rotate around, so you can fit it on either side of the car.
CAN IT BE STOLEN-
The 'Straps' have a bulbous or solid wedge end, that helps prevent them from being removed when the door is locked.
Each SIDEGUARD SPS is held by two 'Straps', plus one on the Extension Section (if used).
The straps are made from an extremely high tensile polymer, but if cut, renders Sideguard SPS useless, preventing a would be thief re-using it.
Replacement Straps can only be purchased by someone who has already purchased a Sideguard SPS and is on our records.
(Test Straps which are sometimes provided on request, are not fitted with the attaching fitment).
IS IT WEATHERPROOF-
Yes. It is designed to be used between 1°c to 38°c or in the rain.
We don't recommend using it below 1°c due to ice issues.
HOW DO I CLEAN IT-
Use mild soap and water and allow to dry before putting it back in its storage bag. Keeping it in the bag, or out of direct sunlight when not in use, will help to preserve its appearance.
DO YOU SELL OVERSEAS-
Yes. Deliveries to outside of the UK may incur your local Sales/Purchase Tax, VAT or GST etc. This will be collected by the courier prior to delivery, so please allow for this extra amount on top of our TOTAL invoice amount.

WHY DOES MY BRAIN NOW HURT !
The problem is, car doors have so many variations, it is near impossible to produce a universal device that works well on all cars without using magnets or suction cups to attach it.
After 5 years of development and testing on over 300 cars, we decided that SIDEGUARD SPS our Semi-Bespoke 'Side Protection System', was the only way to achieve the desired protection without using one of the above fixing methods.
As a result, SIDEGUARD SPS is slightly tailored to suit each car and we believe, provides the best level of protection available.
